The High Country Flyers were formed in 1996 by a group of twelve dedicated Radio Control flyers who were not only interested in flying but in promoting the hobby and becoming involved with the community itself. Establishing a "Society", a non profit organization, the members resolved to develop a professional organization they hope will stand for many years to come. The Club now has members from Chase, Merritt, Logan Lake, as well as Kamloops. We thank John Morrison and the Morrison Ranch for providing the incredible valley that now hosts our activities.
The centerpiece of maintaining the new 800 foot landing strip and surrounding area is our riding lawnmower purchased from the City of Kamloops. The diesel-powered mower has a 6 foot cut making grass cutting easy and fun. Those that operate the mower seem to have the fastest thumbs in the club.
